The Velvet Sky.<\/span><\/p>\n

When evening spreads the velvet sky<\/span>
\nAnd red clouds drift and wander by,<\/span>
\nThe swallows dip, the hedgerows sigh,<\/span>
\nAnd gentle breezes murmur why:<\/span>
\n\u201cGood luck will walk with you tonight,<\/span>
\nFor sunset\u2019s glow is warm and bright.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The fields go calm, the day grows slow,<\/span>
\nSoft amber sea’s start to glow.<\/span>
\nThe fading light begins to show<\/span>
\nA promise only dusk can know.<\/span>
\nFor if skies are red at the close of the day,<\/span>
\nThen worries quietly drift away.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, keep that scarlet sky in sight,<\/span>
\nSomehow a lantern through the falling night.<\/span>
\nFor fortune hums in twilight air,<\/span>
\nA quiet luck seems to linger there.<\/span><\/p>\n
