I will say we love your picture. We both connected with it straight away.
To tell you a story ! Last year I caught Covid prior to the first lockdown on a sking holiday in Bulgaria. As a result I spent 14 days on a full ventilator in Yeovil hospital, 14 days which I have no memory of. They told Cath to prepare for the worst, but a week later I had learnt to walk again and was going home. Hence last year 2020 was a very dark year for us both.
Thankfully I have no lasting effects of Covid and this year we decided to put all that behind us and to focus on the positives of the future and hence after 15 years together decided to get married at the end of August, (26th August which was also Cath’s birthday). We had a fantastic day !
What we both saw in your painting was the story of our last 18 months. Coming from a dark place and looking forward to the future with positive thoughts and a positive mindset. Making the future what you want to make it, a blank canvas and not always looking back at the negatives of the past.
It now stands in pride of place above our dining room table and a daily reminder to always look forward in a positive mindset. After all we are all a long time died, so make the most of every day.
Once again thank you and we will pop in next time we are in the area.
